Job Title: IAFT Auditor/Clerk

Reports To: Quality Manager / Compliance Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Position Summary:

The IAFT Auditor/Clerk is responsible for supporting compliance with International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949 standards and company quality objectives. This role combines clerical duties with internal auditing functions, ensuring documentation, records, and processes meet IATF and customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal audits in accordance with IATF 16949 standards and company audit schedules.

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining quality documentation, records, and reports.

  • Verify accuracy of records, including production logs, inspection data, and corrective action reports.

  • Track and follow up on non-conformance reports and corrective actions.

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date quality management system files (digital and paper).

  • Support document control processes, including revision management and distribution of updated procedures.

  • Assist with preparation for external audits, customer visits, and management reviews.

  • Provide general clerical support to the quality and compliance team.

  • Perform data entry and generate audit summary reports.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred).

  • Experience with IATF 16949 or other quality management systems (preferred).

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Basic knowledge of internal auditing principles (formal auditor training is a plus).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office environment with occasional time spent on the production floor during audits.

  • May require standing, walking, or light lifting during audit activities.
